Dr. Edward Tamale-Sali is a renowned expert in reproductive medicine and the co-founder and CEO of Women's Hospital International and Fertility Centre (WHIFC) in Kampala, Uganda. WHIFC was established in 2004 by Dr. Tamale-Sali and his wife, Mrs. Kate Tamale-Sali, to provide advanced fertility treatments and support to couples facing infertility challenges.

Dr. Tamale-Sali's academic journey began at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, where he graduated with an MBChB in 1974. He further specialized in obstetrics and gynecology, obtaining multiple prestigious qualifications, including MRCS and LRCP (English Conjoint-RCS) in 1977, DRCOG in 1979, MRCOG in 1982, and FRCOG in 1995.

Before founding WHIFC, Dr. Tamale-Sali gained extensive international experience. He worked at several hospitals in the UK, including the Women's Hospital in Nottingham, Torbay General Hospital, Hereford County Royal Hospital, and Royal Hospital Derbyshire. Notably, he spent a significant period working at the Kuwait Oil Company Hospital from 1986 to 2004, where he honed his skills in reproductive medicine and advanced fertility treatments.

Under Dr. Tamale-Sali's leadership, WHIFC has grown to include affiliate branches such as Lusaka IVF and Fertility Centre in Zambia and Dar IVF and Fertility Clinic in Tanzania. These centers have become leading institutions for fertility treatments in the region, known for their high success rates and compassionate care.

Dr. Tamale-Sali's contributions to reproductive medicine have been widely recognized. He has presented his research at international conferences, including the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). His work has also been published in various prestigious medical journals.

In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Tamale-Sali is dedicated to community service and philanthropy. Through the WHIFC Foundation, he has initiated programs to provide free or subsidized fertility treatments to underprivileged couples, making a significant impact on many families' lives.
